The third CD from award-winning American vocalist, DEIAN McBRYDE. Recorded on 31 Oct 2002 in Melbourne, Australia. Featuring Australian musicians ADAM SIMMONS, saxophones; WILL POSKITT, piano; MARK SHEPHERD, bass; and MATT EARL, drums.
The band won a Melbourne Fringe Festival Award and co-producers DEIAN McBRYDE and ADAM SIMMONS received the coveted Australian Green Room Award for best musical direction for the music from this CD in sold out shows at Melbourne' famed La Mama Theatre
DEIAN McBRYDE and ADAM SIMMONS met in 2001 when both artists received prestigious international residency fellowships from Music/OMI in Hudson, New York. They reconnected in Australia as collaborators and co-producers of a show for the Melbourne Fringe Festival, for which they received their first award before going on to a win in the Green Room Awards. With a background in cabaret, McBryde brings his sense of intimacy with an audience. Co-producer and bandleader Simmons brings his formidable knowledge of jazz and improvisation. Both artists are great showman and honest communicators with "something to say."
