Description
Divination was formed in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1995. The current lineup is Matt McCullough (vocals), John Scherrer (drums), Jason Denunzio (guitar), Chuck Lazarz (guitar), and Scott Davis (bass).
Three Nails of Fate, their new release on DRP Records is the long awaited followup to 1999's "Obsessed," Bulldozing ahead and showing leaps and bounds of growth in the song writing and performance capabilities. Three Nails... features some of the most brutal death metal, currently alive and well in the underground. Fusing a wide range of influences from the dark side of metal and old school thrash and hardcore. Divination eliminates many of the boring, drawn out, tired metal solos and give you a stripped down, straight for the jugular slashing.
Other CD releases include the DRP Records "Gimme the Medicine" compilation (2001) and "Gimme the Medicine 2" compilation (2003).
Divination have held their own sharing stages along the East Coast with Broken Hope, Crisis, Voi-Vod, Pro-Pain, Six Feet Under, Deceased, Immolation, Burnt by the Sun, Total Fucking Destruction, Nuclear Assault, and Insatanity. Divination is constantly striving push death metal to the next level and "Three Nails of Fate" proves this.
Look for Divination in 2004 to expand on the globe of undergound metal.
