Description
The Daniel Kelly Band is a four piece rock outfit based in the Boise area. Their style is hard to pin down to any one particular genre because it is so eclectic in nature. The sounds vary throughout the record, but they can best be loosely defined as original Christian Rock with an emphasis on worship and praise.
Songs from DKB's debut record have many different feels. Because of their diverse backgrounds, each of the band members brings their own unique influence to the sound. Dan and Chris have been collaborating together for over twenty years and were both members of the Metal band "Glass Anvil" during the late '80's and early 90's. They made two records ("Trash and the Treasure", and "Truth and the Travesty") before disbanding to pursue solo projects. Chris has since been working on his own music in the "New Age/Instrumental/Art Rock genre, while Dan went on to write, record and produce 1997's High Desert Praise album which is a collection of original worship and praise songs.
In late 2003, Dan and Chris met Steve and William and formed the DKB. Steve brings with him diverse influences from Heavy Metal to Classical but he really prefers the heavy stuff. He brings lots of intensity to the DKB. William co-fronted the L.A. based Punk/Goth band, Mortal Repent in the late 1980's. He's sort of the musical oddball in the DKB as he is fond of more dissonant types of sounds and loud guitar feedback.
Musically, these guys are all over the map to say the least, but they come together as one cohesive unit that is uniquely the DKB. Get your copy now and be the first on your block to say you discovered them!
