Doug's instrumental guitar music is a progressive combination of acoustic rock, folk and jazz.

* Doug was a finalist in the SPIN MAGAZINE/PIZZA HUT "New Sounds for Original Music" Competition, Boston's "Acoustic Underground" Competition, and Atlanta's Eddie's Attic "Acoustic Songwriter Showdown."
2004: Performed 60 College shows in 2004, from Florida/Goergia, to Maine, to Washington and California, and tons in between.
2003: Featured on NPR's syndicated program "River City Folk" during the week of October 20, 2003.
1989-1996: Teamed up with bass player Darren Frate and founded the instrumental group Watts Gnu, which while based in Boston performed nationally from LA to NYC.
1998: Joined Darren Frate to open weekly at NYC's Kenny's Castaways for guitar legend Hernan Romero (Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin) in NYC.
2000-2002: Released debut solo CD "I AM KIROC" 2000 and "Solace" 2002. Currently performs throughout the country at colleges, clubs, festivals and coffeehouses.
2001-2005: Live on-air performances on NPR/Commercial Radio Stations: ECHOES (over 200 stations nationwide), KISU (Idaho), KMSU (Minnesota), NPR's "RiverCityFolk", KDEM (Louisiana), WCPN (Cleveland), WCSX (Detroit), WVPE (Indiana), Georgia Public Radio, Wyoming Public Radio, WAPS (Akron), WORT (Madison), Colorado Public Radio, KRFC (FtCollins).
