Description
In the summer of 1996,clawing and pinching around in the "Rat Room"(in the basement of the old Parks Inc.building behind Union Station, Nashville, Tennessee where there's now a parking lot), Drain the Lobster came into existence. The combination of Nashville natives axe man Richie Parks (White Animals) Dave Kennedy (Walk the West,Cactus Brothers) on drums, and Stevie A.(the artist formally know as..."Stevie A.") was lacking one thing...enter New York bassist Kurt Wagner (Big Sur,Prodigal Sun) and you've got Lobster. Their first 2 records (Drain the Lobster,1998,and Coast 2 Coast,2001) were served up by producer Mike (Dice) Dysinger of Eclectic Records.
Lobster also has a couple of videos streaming at rollingstone dot com, still, we think.?!Their music has been featured on two action packed extreme motorcycle videos produced by Hard Rock Productions.
Producer/keyboardist Ronnie Godfrey (Marshall Tucker Band) is the man behind Lobster's new songs, under the gourmet supervision of Randy Coleman at Colemine Studios in Nashville. Dice came back on board to mix "Tales", their new record due out July 4th 2004.Lobster can be caught live later this year, keep your eyes open!
