Description
Entitled the Mainstay Remix EP, AM has collaborated with both Jamie Myerson (Duncan Sheik, David Poe, Paul Oakenfold, Sneaker Pimps & former Ovum recording artist) and The Rip Off Artist aka Matt Haines (Nelle Hooper, Akufen, Crystal Method) to create a varied & experimental take on the original song "Mainstay" found on AM's debut album (also on CD Baby). (As a special bonus, this cd also contains a CD-ROM of the "Mainstay" music video which you can watch on your computer.)
Since AM's debut album was released on CD Baby, his music has been featured on several T.V. shows such as HBO's "Big Love", ABC's "What About Brian", ABC's "Life as we Know It" (starring Kelly Osbourne), and three seasons of MTV's "Real World" including Austin, Key West, and Philly (where AM's song "Losing You" made quite a splash). He has also been named LA Weekly's "Best Singer/Songwriter of 2005" and has been touring the U.S. and U.K. extensively.
This year at SXSW Music Fest, AM performed at the KCRW showcase and then followed it up with a Billboard Magazine showcase at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles.
The Mainstay Remix EP serves as an experiemental release which caters to the electronic and dance world, while still preserving the rich melodies and vocal nuances that make AM's music so special.

This artist has been compared to Beck and Coldplay and we can hear some REM references creeping in. Whether its AM or PM this artist deserves some of your time...and he is set to find a new audience in the UK.
-The Hit Sheet (UK)
Overall, this album demonstrates how great pop can be. AM has a real sense of how to set a chorus, and each one glistens and sparkles with extra instruments, synth pads and hooky guitar lines. With talent like this well surely see AM climb the ranks to the top.
-Performing Songwriter
...AM takes equal parts of classic Americana, folk-rock and pop and melts them down into something entirely his own, and he does it with two things money cant buy: imagination and taste. These sturdily built pop songs are graced with ingeniously colorful arrangements and have that instant classic thing stamped all over them...
-LA Weekly
AM sounds like a mixture of Paul Simon and David Bowie. It rocks but in a beautiful way.
-Gary Jules (Trading Snakeoil for Wolftickets/Universal Music)
"AM sounds like a cross between Mutations-era Beck and Pete Yorn and like them, he borrows liberally from country and rock, coming up with music that's a little bit different and not easily defined"
-West Coast Performer
"AMs soothing voice and polished stage presence have a calming effect, even on the rowdiest audience members. His soft rock, blended with a touch of country, connects with anyone..."
