ASTRAL KITCHEN
Best described as "Thinking Man's Rock". The third effort by the Astral Kitchen has harnessed the energy of the first CD "ASTRAL KITCHEN (1991), and mixed some of the savvy finesse of the "Dirty Things " CD (2003). and came up with a modern Rock classic.

Description
The Band ASTRAL KITCHEN new CD is here! And man it's good! The CD was recorded at Pro-Entertainment studios in Sonoma CA, and Mastered in Colorado at Grammy award winning "Airshow Mastering studio" by Dominick Maita, then Manufactured at Oasis CD. The CD comes with a really cool 16 page booklet, that features the artwork of MAZ (our Band artist...think Roger Dean style..).It has all the lyrics and is a really fine made CD! (no expense spared!)
Here is a quote from the Rolling Stone, who gave it four stars out of five!.....yea baby!
In true "in your face" style this CD opens with a kick in the teeth to the current administration. This band has never sat quietly in the background. The CD, a combination of the raw power of the debut CD "ASTRAL KITCHEN (AK Records 1991)", and the Savvy follow up a full twelve years later, "Dirty Things" (AK Records 2003) is a reminder that Rock N Roll will not be quietly dismissed and tossed into a old school pile of tricks that your parents listened to. While this Bands roots can be traced back to Bands Like the "Beatles", they never settle on one sound or genre. From the driving "UFO" sounding "Breakthrough" to the Ethereal sound of "Vigil prayer", This band takes it from right to left, and top to bottom, leaving you to try to figure out what genre they adhere to. Never being able to pigeon hole the sound leaves the listener always wondering where they are going next on this journey through sound. Perhaps the name of the band "ASTRAL KITCHEN" is fitting for a band that seems to never have their sound too firmly planted in one place or another. To call this Band a eclectic one, is by far a understatement, and must be heard to be appreciated.
