Description
Brian Gari is best known for his pop oriented albums. His salute to Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys caught the attention of fans worldwide. This new release has a Brazilian theme with a nod to his heroes Joao Gilberto and Kenny Rankin. It features two previously unrecorded Don Ciccone compositions. Ciccone is best remembered for writing and singing his bossa nova-influenced hit MR. DIEINGLY SAD with the 60s group The Critters. Most of the album's songs are by Gari himself with several Portuguese translations by the legendary Mayuto Correa. The arrangements feature the guitar with appropriate orchestrations a la Jobim and Gilberto.
