Description
The Feedback Project is a socially conscious hip-hop band formed in Jacksonville, FL during the spring of 2000. The group's founding members Nil (Ned Pope) and Gadjet (Tony Leonard) came together while touring the punk underground with local mainstays Boredom. After being featured on a local compilation album the two MCs started writing with area musicians, the sessions culminated with the release of the Voice of the Overlooked EP in 2001. Following a move to Tallahassee in 2003 the band filled out its lineup with the additions of keyboardist Ken Tucker and drummer Charles Reaume, and released its first full length album Crisis of Perception (The Orchard). In 2004 Gadjet decided to pursue a career in Jacksonville while giving the group his blessings to carry on with the music. With Nil as the lone vocalist and the addition of bassist Lowt Gray the band has recently finished recording Return of the Illcats which is slated for release in the spring of 2006. They will be touring in support of the album with the hopes of expanding their growing support base and furthering their reputation as one of the best live acts in the hip-hop genre.
