Fly Upright Kite is a young, energetic, pop/rock band that blends heartfelt compositions with well-crafted pop melodies. Fly Upright Kite grew its wings in late 2004 and has only continued to grow. Comprised of five talented musicians (Asad Rahman:vocals/guitar, Brian Guilmette:guitar, Jarred Grant:drums, Holland Dieringer:violin, and Liam McCormack:bass/bkvocals), Not only does Fly Upright Kite possess a certain talent for making great music, but they also have the drive and determination to make themselves heard.
After evolving into their current driving and electrifying sound, Fly Upright Kite began relentlessly performing at many popular venues around the Boston area, taking no prisoners. Their music appeals to a diverse audience, their lyrics are personal yet everyone can relate to them. Dealing with the usual stories attached to a broken heart like unrequited love, temptation, and hope - but often from a different perspective.
