Gong-Qian Yang, Chinese American composer, soloist and concert violinist who has been unanimously acclaimed by the audience, colleagues, and publicities for his superb
artistry as well as his outstanding music talents.
As the first prize winner twice of international
competitions, Yang has been winning standing ovation
in every of his solo concert. While enjoying a successful
career as soloist and concert artist, Yang has always kept
a keen interest in music composition. He studied a wide
range of repertoire and huge diversity of music. He has
been working diligently on the combination of the very best from eastern and western music. Yangs music is now
reaching far and broad both in the U.S. and internationally. In the coming May, The China National Symphony Orchestra will perform his "Nature and Me Symphonic Poem" as part of their program on the North American Tour.
In Yang's opinion, it is best to let music emotion flow and unfold freely without excess structural restrain. He believes that music should connect and touch peoples heart. Yang refers some of his music as twenty-first century classic. He has often been inspired by the harmony between all creatures of the universe. Yang says his music is a gift and inspiration from the nature.
