Description
Hey Tiger formed in New Jersey in 2002 and released their debut EP, 1.0 , in 2003. After finalizing their lineup and recording ten new songs, the band is readying a full-length release of the new material by the end of 2005.
Hey Tiger's songs come from a variety of emotional places and Christina Alessi's captivating voice has the unique ability to mesh many different perspectives. Feeling angry? Betrayed? Frustrated? Desperately head-over-heels in love? This band can do it all. Their strength is to blend seamlessly from one feeling to another - and from one style to another. Hey Tiger comfortably incorporates elements of pop, rock, disco and even trip-hop without sounding unfocused.
Some of the greatest artists in history, including the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, U2 and Radiohead, have undoubtedly influenced the band's music. Vocally, Alessi has been compared to singers ranging from Janis Joplin and Ann Wilson to Alanis Morissette and Amy Lee. An eclectic mix? Absolutely. But in some way, each of these artists can be considered Hey Tiger's musical counterparts.
Their music has a bit of everything you've ever liked about a band. They are original, yet familiar. Just listen...the proof is in their songs.
