LaDerryl JiG Hart was born and raised in the city of Detroit where music has been a part of his life since day one. Coming from a family of mostly singers and musicians, its no wonder why JiG captures the heart of everyone that meets him. When asked to describe his music, JiG will tell you that his sound is a fusion of pop and soul, with an urban flavor. His feel good hit, Im Gonna Make It, which was the first song he ever wrote, is a refreshing blend of those musical genres. His smooth falsetto falls perfectly on tracks and his raspy natural tone has a sex appeal that only the ladies can appreciate.......and for the fellas, his hard hitting drum tracks, as evident on his fella favorite Grown Man will demand they keep a copy of his CD in their ride.
As a choreographer turned singer 6 years ago, one element seems present in every song he has recorded: dance. JiG has been pegged one of the best hip-hop choreographers in Michigan. While touring with the Clark Sisters, the Teens of Comedy, and Fred Hammond, his dynamic moves and unique dance concepts captivated audiences night after night. As a way to give back to his community, he has volunteered to teach kids dance for 3 years.
