Jimmy Bear's fifth album, "ContraRevolutionary", is a Rock-Electronic Instrumental set of works that are truly captivating and enjoyable. The album's tunes are a journey through the mind - from the dance-like "ContraRevolutionary" to the funk-laden "He's Not Here." "Digitalis Borealis" details the wonder of the Northern Lights. "Halloween Child" describes the wonder, joy, and pitfalls of being born on October 31. The album opens with "A Robot In Me", a sound painting of the complex changes through which all of humanity is going.
The story told by ContraRevolutionary is a tale of the Earth, of human-kind's progress through the ages, and an introspection into the world as seen through the eyes of a wondering mind.
The music he makes is conceived, performed, and engineered by himself (one track at a time) in his living area using a variety of guitars and instruments - all of which is mixed down to tunes with his Macintosh. The music is clean and clear, and is created to have a live (human) quality, but with just a touch of color as though lots of different people are playing the parts. Listen carefully to the music - it will take you on a journey you will sincerely enjoy!
