Description
Mar. is a music teacher/recording artist from Pinellas County, Florida. Maryann has her BA in Music Education, a Masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood and is certified in Level I Orff. She is the founder of Music w/Mar., a class where toddlers and caregivers participate together in music and movement activities. Because of the popularity of her music, the songs were recorded for retail sale. She has nineteen recordings on the market: Music w/ Mar., Songs for a Great Day!, More Music w/ Mar., Mr. Froggy's Family, Tunes for Tiny Tots, (recipient of a Parents' Choice Silver Honors Award 1998) Its a Zoo on Here!, Start Each Day with a Song!(Recipient of "Best Recording for Young Children" by Childrens Music Web Awards - 2001), Safety Songs-Mar. in the Roo World, Back in the Roo World with the Hip Hop Mob, The Mighty Mob - Today's Children; Tomorrow's Future and Keep Safety Roo-Teen (Recipient of "Best Recording for Older Children" Childrens' Music Web Awards - 2002). "The Wide-mouthed Bullfrog (and other stories I love to sing!), Math with Mar., Playing and Learning with Music, Songs at My Fingertips, Jazz Up Your Language Arts, Hear Me Sing; Watch Me Dance and Music Makes it Memorable. She produced the musical versions of Dr. Becky Bailey's book, I Love You Rituals (Vol. 2 won an iParenting Media Award 2003). She appears on Peter Alsop's award-winning CD, "Uh Oh!" along with Peter and Bill Harley. She has also published two books: "And That's Why Music's Important!" and "Tunes for Tiny Tots--the Music". She resides in FL with her daughter, Gioia, where she still is active in the classroom from Pre-K all the way through college level. (She is an adjunct professor at Univ of S. FL.) Music is a part of every aspect of her life and she wants it to be part of yours!
