Description
This self-titled CD by the group Nagual features finely crafted original music that is in sync with the progressive and boundary busting musical philosophies of musicians who are redefining what's been called the 'perfect union' of Latin Jazz. Nagual provides an experience that encourages the listener to transcend into unexplored levels of musical appreciation.
Self produced and recorded by this Sacramento, CA based quintet, Nagual boasts an independent spirit that is a hallmark of the best jazz recordings and the spirit of creativity at every level of production. Toward that goal, the CD insert designs are self produced and features a cover photo by one of the group members.
In a world offering an over abundance of choices, Nagual gets back to basics with an emphasis on groove and improvisation. The nine tunes on the CD deliver compelling music and announce the arrival of a significant voice in Latin Jazz, Nagual.
