Description
It was deep in the Valley of the Moon, a gigantic full moon lit up the evening sky. As the young traveler walked along the trail, he began to hear a melody that was unlike any other he had ever heard before. He saw an old man sitting on a rock, the strange music emanating from his multi-stringed instrument.
"What song is this that you are playing?" interrupted the young man. "I've never heard such music before!"
There was a brief silence.
"Song?" replied the old man calmly. "Oh no. I'm just playing for the moon."
A solo performance of nine improvisations upon a rare 12-string Guitarra de Maya. Recordings of this music were first available in the late '60s from M.G.M.-Verve on a Long-Playing record titled "Malachi/Holy Music".
