Description
Hailing from the music scene of Northern California, The NPK breaks boundaries of genre creating a potent collection of original work. The three musicians Tanner Speas (guitar, vocals, songwriter), Tao Ryce (bass), Mr.Gratzel (drums, percussion), come from a varied background and influence, listening to everything from punk to funk to folk. However, the thread that brings them together is the appreciation of quality music, regardless of it's name. The three blend, bend and ultimately coalesce into a sphere of one solid rhythm, lighted by striking melody.
The NPK recently finished their first full length album featuring eleven original songs. These songs range from the first track "Call a Toast", a song that celebrates the ruckus, to "The Carving" a melancholy tune with haunting harmonies. From the driving "Way of the World" to the acoustic darkness of "Outlaw's Grave", and the rumbling high tempo of "What the Hell", the independently released album is one that can only be defined by the individual listening. Throughout the album there is a dedication to the essential purpose, the creation of unique, artistic compositions.
