Description
It's been 2 years and it's finally here!
"MAGIC" grooves like a mother fucker. If you want a night of ecstacy put this one in and give it a spin.
It was recorded in studios in NY (The Big Apple) and Las Vegas (Sin City, The City of Lights etc) and had some very special people who worked on it.
Cooper again performs everything (including synths) on the album, exept drums and percussion. He also wrote and produced it as usual.
His music has (and is) been played in parts of Europe including Germany(QUER 104.6 Overdrive) Spain(104.8 El Autoblues), England(Alchemical Radio) and has reached the hands and ears of A&R vice president Andy Karp at Lava records (a subsidiary of Atlantic). Among those on the label are KID ROCK and UNCLE KRACKER.
Cooper has also been reviewed by Nicky Baldrian, a rock journalist in the UK, who has interviewed and reviewed the likes of Jeff Scott Soto, Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Richie Kotzen and a host of other well known and respected artists and bands.
All of his records thus far are on the editor's picks list for the doom/stoner metal category right here at CD BABY.
He has also come in first place on more than one occasion at risingmusic's weekly contest of the bands.
Because of his growing body of work at such a young age, and because of his die hard work ethic, Cooper is starting to be looked at by industry reps.
Not that it matters much to him.....
" It really does not matter to me if I get signed, since many record labels (the ones who are dishonest) will be extinct in the next decade".
"Most of the big record companies only care about money and what will sell and what can be marketed. That is all it is about for them these days. Regardless if the music itself has substance and heartfelt meaning".
"They have been chewing up and spitting out very talented people for too long. Now it's their turn to be put in the grinder".
"However, I can't deny the fact that I would love worldwide distribution and touring, selling multi-platinum records and making multi-platinum money with a top notch team of pros working with me."
This is possible with major labels who nurture and protect their talent.
"In conclusion, I would rather not have any of that if it meant me compromising myself and selling out my hard-core fans and myself, for a quick buck and 15 minutes of fame. Thanks but no thanks. I will stick to my guns and what I love doing" .
"For now just pick up "MAGIC" and let it make your insides feel all warm and tingly."
" rock on all you indies and fuck the biggies!"-
