Description
Somewhere between Elliot Smith and the less sensational movements of Nick Cave, Phil Lomac studies the dim with a stoned sense of curiosity. Place means a lot to records. And though this album doesnt describe North Carolina too much it does describe the evolution of college rock (as it was once known) in America. That market that rarely hands over artists to mass consumption. Phil Lomac definitely has a sound that belongs to the experimental popster. The approach doesnt involve a lot of noise which is good news to me. The core is pure, rich with instrumentation instead of fuzz and distortion. ENIGMA ONLINE
