Description
Joe Hynek got his start by writing jingles. He is working on his Doctorate at Iowa State University. Joe is known as the "Cyclone Idol", a title he earned by singing "Naked Lady" to a riotous ISU crowd at their 2004 VEISHEA celebration. Joe writes many of the songs and manages PUMPTOWN.
Amy Hynek has beat on drums since elementary school. She plays in Creighton University's Pep Band in Omaha, NE where she is about to earn a Masters in Clinical Anatomy. Amy plays guitar, writes songs, mows lawns, and can even drive a semi.
Mandy Hynek arranges and vocalizes the harmonies, giving the band its unique sound. She is versatile, rotating on the bass and drums. Mandy's interest is in International Studies with a Spanish concentration.
Bill Hynek loves to pick out old gospel tunes on his mountain dulcimer. He also plays percussion instruments, harmonica, and the upright bass. Bill is a farmer, truck driver, and the inspiration for many of PUMPTOWN'S songs.
