Description
Red Heart the Ticker is the musical home of Robin MacArthur and Tyler Gibbons. Robin sings lead vocals and plays a Martin LG from the early 50s; Tyler plays upright, electric, and tenor basses and sings lead on a few and harmonies on the others. For the Wicked, their first full length album, was recorded in a timber frame barn in Southern Vermont (note cricket sounds on a song or two), and in a apartments in NYC and Boston. Their haunting and eclectic sound has been compared to the Innocence Mission, the Cowboy Junkies, Wilco, and Emmylou Harris. The album was produced by the band and put out on the home-spun Poorly Bird Records.
