Description
Hailing from the Trinity area of Florida, Danny Riddle grew up with a desire to be involved in music ministry and began that journey at age 11. After a bad experience at age 15, Danny prayed, "God, if you will give me a voice, I will sing for you the rest of my life." God answered that prayer and ministry doors began opening.
Danny's music is loved by everyone. His style is more southern gospel and he certainly knows how to sing that pure, southern gospel style! Danny regales folks with one old familiar standard after another and then he gives a twist by introducing original compositions that range from his normal styling to contemporary settings. Audiences everywhere love Danny from the moment they lay eyes on him - he's just one of those kinds of people! His endearing personality combined with his zeal and passion for the gospel makes his music and concerts a memorable time of fellowship in the gospel.
"I am excited and thankful every day about all of the new adventures God is bringing into my life," Danny says. When all is said and done, he wants to be remembered as "the boy who sang his songs for Jesus Christ."

"You Raise Me Up" is the latest release from Danny Riddle and Somebody Productions. Overall, we think it is one of the best we've heard from Danny. With a total of 15 tracks, he covers the gamut of style from light contemporary to his very own special Pure Southern music. There are traditional old hymns along with brand new songs penned by Danny (Big Shot, Crying Out To Me, Seasons Of Friendship, I'm Going Up, and If Jesus Comes Tonight) and friends of Danny, and it is mixed with popular favorites like the title song. He even dared to do an a cappella number (I Wouldn't Miss It) and pulled it off QUITE well!
Vocally this is Danny's finest. His voice has matured and smoothed over the years - and the confidence he has gained in his talent shows. This project also reflects the best choice of variety we've heard from Danny. It's great to see him stretch himself for different styles of music - but he's also one that knows his niche is in the old Standards and Southern Gospel and he makes sure that we are treated to a healthy dose of that throughout.
On the whole, this is a project to add to your collection.
