Description
Another Round is the 1999 follow-up to The Rising Pints 1997 debut release. Featuring 10 traditional tracks, the album has a focus on brilliant vocal harmonies, intricate instrumentals, and the tasteful infusion of pop, rock, and jazz. From the upbeat "Rare Old Mountain Dew" and "Bold O'Donoghoe" to the soulful "Salley Gardens and "Carrickfergis" and melodic mouth music of "Spanish Lady" and "Humours of Whiskey", this album will appeal to both new and longtime followers of the rich Celtic music tradition.
About The Rising Pints:
The Rising Pints are a vibrant band based in Japan. They are heavily influenced by Irish traditional music, well as jazz, folk and rock. The self-titled debut CD from The Rising Pints was released in 1997 by Celtic Otter Music. This featured the original five members. With slight member changes, The Rising Pints followed up this CD with Another Round in 1999 and Charm in 2001. The current lineup is centered around Brian Cullen, William Matheny, and Mark Renburke.
