Temika Moores sophomore cd, Doing Just Fine is her second installment as a songwriter and is a precursor to her spiritually uplifting, life-changing, audience-connecting live shows. Moment of Truth was about finding my way. Doing Just Fine is about accepting what I found and being okay with it, says Temika. This time Temika stretches her songwriting capability, experiments with producing, and embraces the role of Executive Producer. I am proud of the work on this project and hope listeners embrace the concepts and ideas embodied in this project as my contribution to the world in an effort to help encourage self-acceptance, says Temika. Temikas current body of work Doing Just Fine contains original compositions such as the head bopping, jazz-infused Fruit which is a welcomed breathe of fresh air from the usual man-bashing to which weve become accustomed, but actually celebrates the heart of a man. Doing Just Fine the title track, is an honest, hits you right-in-the-heart letter to a father who made the choice not to accept the role of parent and chose to leave his daughter to be raised without his presence or instruction in her life. Come Sunday is a reflective song that tells the story of Temikas grandmother, Annie and her childhood memories of their times together. She also pays homage to the Isley Brothers with a smoothed-out, romantic version of Groove with You, and a soul-stirring version of Seawinds Follow Your Road.
