Description
Somewhere between the intense, rapid-strumming style and infectious personality of Matt Nathanson and the unique pedal effects of Howie Day you'll find Todd Martin. The Philadelphia-based singer-songwriters broad range of influences including David Gray, Rockwell Church, Damien Rice and Ryan Adams, have inspired him to make music that overflows with the passion that words alone can't convey.
A self-taught guitar player, Martin first picked up the guitar when he was 15, but eventually pushed it aside in favor of a hockey stick throughout high school. It wasnt until college at Villanova University that Martin began to realize his enthusiasm for playing and love for songwriting.
Martin recently returned to Philadelphia after a two-year stint in Boston, a notoriously successful market for igniting the careers of budding singer-songwriters. While in Boston, Martin had the good fortune of sharing the stage with impressive company including Matt Nathanson, Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, and Angie Aparo.
