Description
"Driven To My Knees draws power from its simplistic approach, which in turn adds gravitas to the already evocative lyrics. This is a beautiful and inspiring album."
- Time Off Magazine CD Review
A great musical work from beginning to end.
- Infuze Magazine CD Review
Devotional songs in an Americana style. This album is not happy clappy or vengeful Old Testament stuff. With pedal steel, banjo and mandolin prominent the playing is solid and taking elements of bands such as Palace, Son Volt and Lambchop the result is a collection of decent tunes.

BIOGRAPHY
It is a sad fact that most of the best music made will not be heard by the majority of the American population. Independent musicians have the arduous task of making music and trying to promote it with little to no help. Usually only a handful of people are blessed with their view on life which is many times different than the mainstream. I'd like to introduce you to one such musician: Tom Feldmann.
It was the music of blues pioneers John Lee Hooker, Son House and Fred McDowell that shaped Feldmann at an early age. Taking from there raw delta blues, Tom developed his own unique style of slide guitar playing which fueled tours throughout the United States and Canadian Provinces and brought critical acclaim to his many CD releases.
In addition to touring as a solo artist, Tom also formed bands; G.Ningroy, Three Liter Jug, Stickey Nickel and the Wild Rats and in 2004 combined the kick drum and hi-hat with guitar and vocals to create a stomp blues and honky-tonk, one-man traveling band.
Seeking seclusion following the completion of his 2003-2004 "10-4 Good Buddy" tour, Tom put a halt to all future performances and slowly began writing songs for the Driven to my Knees release, the first of three CD's to be recorded in 2005-2006 with producer Mark Stockert.
I am not a Christian artist, says Feldmann, I just write songs about Jesus. A seemingly strange statement to some, especially after listening to the new release recently issued on his own Magnolia Recording Company label. But in an age where cookie cuter pop bands endlessly pour forth, Tom strives to offer an alternative to those who are overlooked by the music-marketing machine by presenting simple songs of hope written with intelligence in a style that he calls Gospel Americana.
Driven to my Knees finds Feldmann shifting from showcasing his trademark nickel-platted National Reso-phonic guitar he so lovingly named Stickey Nickel, to relying on the talents of his band, drawing your attention to the story of the songs rather than on his guitar playing ability.
Deviating from his signature blues sound has not gone unnoticed, with one publication declaring that, "Feldmann has turned his back on his blues roots to produce an album of songs about Jesus." Offering no apology, Tom states that, "my CD's are concept albums and the concept behind Driven to my Knees was low key, simple songs of hope and that is exactly what we achieved."
Tom will be back on the road with his trio in promotion of the release as part of the Magnolia Revue, a showcase tour of artists from the Magnolia Recording Company roster as well as touring with David Lindley on various dates throughout the year.
From solo acoustic blues artist to singer/songwriter to alt. country rocker to a one-man honky-tonk band, whether playing old school raunchy slide guitar or painting incredible lyrical portraits through his powerful yet quiet songs, Tom Feldmann is an accomplished composer with riveting sounds and a mix of stylistic offerings.
Throughout the years Tom has opened shows for such artists as; BR5-49, David Lindley, Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, Kraig Johnson (the Jayhawks), Dan Bern, "Catfish" Keith, John Munson (Semi Sonic), Steve James, Ellis Paul, Jimmy LaFave, Michael Fracasso and many others.
