FACTUAL DESCRIPTION
( See below for fictitious description and imagery )
======================================================
Just because this or that famous Armenian singer sings it HIS way does not mean that is the way MY grandparents from Van sang them. (Automaton simpletons often confuse the handy, ubiquitous distorted revolutionary song sung in a Helleno-Islamic style with the suppressed, ignored, less accessible, seemingly vaporized original versions.
I do not blame such people for their ignorance. Just consider these are not alternative versions of Armenian revolutionary songs: instead, they are the correct versions and yours is the alternative).
========
The last few songs (esp. 14, 20, 21) are perhaps the most "pop" of the Armenian ones. "Close Your Eyes" and "Mi Amor" are favorites for lovers of late 1970's disco populaire musique.
========
Indeed, this CD presents the ABBA-like Mile High Club of Sydney, Australia (a band compared to the legendary disco/folk band!), plus a 200 page book on the Turco-Mongol invasion of Armenia. There is more: it has 3 short MPEG FILES too! The music plays on CD players, and computers with Windows Media Player, etc.
LYRICS?
Translated and transliterated SONG LYRICS are featured too for most of the songs! {LYRICS are on both PDF [ADOBE ACROBAT] and WORD [DOCUMENT] files, for you.}

Armenian music with a purpose: to infuse the teenager with a message of ethnic revival. [The DC comes with a 200 page
book that describes the events of 1071 AD to the 15th century, a time of Armenian history few people know well!)
Come to the citadel of Moush, in Van-Vasbouragan province, and join the phantom nation of Armenyans! We are surrounded by nomadic vandals! We need you to help beat these people back. We'll do it together. Do not fear. Jesus is all powerful. Win with VANArmenya a glorious victory!

The killers are swept aside then they surround you in this history-book-like album of transgenerational hits and other songs that appeal.
21 songs plus a video or two, and a history book! The music recording began nearly 18 years ago.
This album is the result of a connoisseur of Armenian music deciding to contribute an alternative version of the music which was being distorted and swallowed as traditions: thus, the alternative is actually the traditional, as far as vocals, and lyrics. Elderly Armenians were interviewed to make sure it was all right: they'll love this album more than the teenagers, perhaps! It is a "relentless pummeling" of "certainly different" and "periodically ornate" music: listen twice and you'll be hooked for years. This type of music should be our mainstream, but instead it is our "corner of CD BABY" throwaway album, while the masses engorge themselves in 3/3's. Know-it-alls claim it is not Armenian. Newsflash: it is more Armenian than any album ever made. It also contains a 200 page book revealing the Armenian origins of the early Seljuks (Saljuqs). Yes, the TURKS Armenized themselves from DAY ON. Read it. It was written by a PhD of history!
The music is derived from patient thought, then critiqued, then reformed. It is something you can listen to for DECADES.

FICTITIOUS DESCRIPTION:
Spirit?
Yes, that SPIRIT... as if through meditation, the walking ghosts of Van-Vasbouragan (living bodies essentially totally extinct, nowadays) entered the cold, snowy music studio. The audio frequencies of the surviving, dead and abducted Armenians screamed into the microphone at times. All of these elements, and many, many other emotions were channeled for your hungry listening pleasure. Of note, a cyborg was discovered frozen in a mountain between Erzerum and Van, Armenia, and was given a plug into the wall socket for partial battery recharging.
"Van" was built between 1965 and 1969, model VANArmenya13. He has been electrically disabled, awaiting reactivation once YOU hear song 20. Then, his soul comes alive inside of yours.
Enjoy the music, and do not fear the imagination. Turn off the music videos and open up your mind. Music videos are largely exploitive and ruin good music for people.
This CD is 100% Armenian in spirit - purged of non-Armenian elements. Nothing even remotely Helleno-Islamic allowed through the gates of this citadel. Lovers of Persian and Indian music will be pleased.
Great grandmother's voice and spirit are alive!
Armenian spirits swirl through the music, in the souls of the 100% human singers. Millions of healthy, agriculturalist Armenians are alive again on their ancient homelands! Gomidas smiles on a sunny Saturday morning. Grikor Mirzaian Suni laughs on a Sunday afternoon, as he sits at the piano. General Antranig walks past.
Infused with meticulously sculpted audio forms and sound elements ( wholesome, pleasant-to-the ear music ) with Gomidas-quality pickiness. The music is derived from patient thought, then critiqued, then reformed. After a listen, using intelligence and mathematical logic, it is then sung with and sonically baked with the spirit of lovers of pure Armenian music.
As if through meditation, the walking ghosts of Van-Vasbouragan (living bodies essentially totally extinct, nowadays) entered the cold, snowy music studio. Yes, the dark news. The audio frequencies of the surviving, dead and abducted Armenians screamed into the microphone at times. SONG 20: The VAN Armenians: (1) One of the few who fought back. (2) Never actually 'lost' in battle, despite being overwhelmed by an empire's genocidal armies--zombie Turks, genetically composed of centuries worth of abducted, stolen, kidnapped forcibly-Islamized Armenians and Mongol-Turks. (3) Foolishly trusted the Ottoman Turkish government, giving away their grain, opening up their grocery markets, and allowing their men to be drafted and slaughtered en masse. (4) The vanguard, Defenders of Van, Armenia, {VANA VAHANK} -- a small elite troop of highly skilled phantom soldiers (once of living flesh and protecting the escapees from abandoned Van) haunt the dreams those who live on occupied lands, haunt them late, late at night, explore the terrain ahead of large advancing future armies across the globe and plot a course for the future army to follow. Composed of the heads of Armenians beheaded by the Turks and bodies of cyborg human Armenian machine men bent on revenge. We want our DNA back, or else the walking VanSystems must know their origins: the twisted truth: the enemies of truth and justice have our blood on their hands and in their veins.
