"Will Diehl has a nice sound. Acoustic music has always appealed to me, and this song stands with the best of them musically. It is obvious from the start of the track that this guy knows his instrument well. The quality of the music is great, and would keep me listening even if it was instrumental.

Top that off with some good vocals. Will has a voice that sounds like it was meant for this music. Simple as the lyrics may be, they're honest, and I give a lot of credit for honesty in lyrics. Will sings these words in a way that inflects true soul within them, and that makes "True Love" a keeper.

The Final Word

This is the kind of song to listen to when you need a break from the world. It is beautifully played acoustic guitar, coupled with clean honest vocals, which makes for an enjoyable listening experience. Chosen from his 60+ (!) tracks available on mp3.com, it's a wonder we haven't run across him before. But, as fate plays such a gracious hand, we have the opportunity now. Experience karma sutra in action, the essence of a sand spired cathedral bulges and grows out of the Saharan sands to an ominous and unearthly size. Must be an homage to the Gods, as this track might very well suggest. Beautiful melodic interplay between a fretless bass and an old world relic stringed instrument. Sounds like sitar, so we'll go with that for now, although we here in the Land of Phrygia Music Recognizance and Referential Side Notations Board will make concessions for error. This track brings in the early sounds of a group called Tri-Atma, who were more interested in melting old world music and instruments with beefy Euro-Jazz. The their added advantage, they were all incredible musicians, multi-faceted in every realm, as is Will Diehl. Take a breather and sit down for this one. i like the mood to this one. great vocals: melody, accuracy, lyrics. i keep waiting for the drums to kick in. it just sounds like the production (which is really nice, by the way) & mixing was done so that other instruments would fit into it. very nice song. i think you sound like Steven Stills with a harmonica.Reviewed by: number99 fr
