Description
Divalia was born different but not by color, social rank or culture. She was just a very special child with special gifts.
Divalia grew up in France, french alps, where her grand father owned a chalet restaurant, there, she spent hours singing in front of customers, accompanied by her grandfather's accordion.
"I just loved to perform", she said. "After school, I went to my room and opened my windows to play for the neighbors. This way, I made my own little concert".
But after going through the Art Conservatory, music and singing courses, Divalia finally hit the stage for real with a punk-rock band.
From back-up vocals and keyboard player to dancer-model-actress, Divalia grabbed every opportunity she had to be in front of an audience.
Although she enjoyed it all, it was through her songs that people discovered what she was all about.
People started telling her magical things about her voice.
A person who works with her wrote : "Many angels are dancing inside of you and sending rays of angelfire everywhere, they are indeed playing with you..." "My lyrics are inspired from the challenges I experienced", she said.
Divalia did not want her music to be just pretty...
"Music is all about vibrations and energy, it can therefore travel within you and liberate your mind and body." Divalia said.
To create an album that could shake people's deepest energies, Divalia had to be shattered herself.
She decided to listen to the little voice within her and she left for the City of Angels.
"Los Angeles is a town where everything is possible, a place where the energy is extraordinary because it gathers people from different nationalities and background but share in common the same desire to make their dreams come true." Divalia said.
"Determination" her latest album recorded both in L.A. and Saint Laurent, France, is a powerful mix of energies.
It brings together the messages life gave her before she left france and the vibrations she received from this exciting new city.
After struggling with many recording companies' marketing policies, Divalia decided to start her own.
She named her label Georgia Records Inc.
"This is a dream come true, i wanted to do my music well, from the first note to distribution.
I refuse to follow big companies' strategies.
Georgia Records is artistic and personal freedom.
The audience is starving for real passion and true emotions, which i don't feel from today's music business," she said.
Divalia put all of her difference into her album, DETERMINATION, like herself is uplifting and purifying, the constant positive messages flow through the veins like a powerful shot of vitamin.
