Description
Amy Friedman (writer and co-producer) has dreamed of creating this CD since 1992 when she penned her first story for the internationally syndicated column, Tell Me A Story (Universal Press Syndicate). Amy has published two collections of stories from that column (Tell Me A Story and The Spectacular Gift) and the stories continue to run in newspapers around the world, from Maine to China. Laura Hall (composer and sound engineer) is best known as the piano player on the hit television show Whose Line is it Anyway? Laura and the show's cast continue to tour the country doing live shows under the name The Improv Allstars. Laura got her start playing improv in Chicago at The Second City; and it was there she also met her husband, Rick Hall who read and plays trombone on this CD. Laura has written music for many original shows, including Patty, Patty, Bang, Bang! which won an LA Weekly Award for Best New Musical. She has written two albums of music for young children, I See a Tiger and Come Join the Parade, and she also writes the music for The Wheels on the Bus Video series, starring Roger Daltrey. Lori Ada Jaroslow (director, co-producer and performer on A Sense of Theft) has performed on and Off-Broadway and internationally in such shows as Fiddler on the Roof and Grease. Lori founded and produces Melt in Your Mouth, a narrative reading series for writers at the Secret Rose Theater in North Hollywood. She is currently completing work as writer/performer on her original musical and a solo show.

Poppy Champlin (Searching for Fear) is an internationally renowned comedian who has appeared on A&E, Lifetime, VH-1 and Comedy Central. Character voices were an integral part of Poppys becoming a comedian. Poppys comedy act is featured in the HBO Documentary All Aboard Rosies R-Family Vacation. Eva Hall (titles) has two dogs and a frog. Shes nine years old. She has a sister named Ruthie Hall. She is in third grade. Her best friends are Sara and Tessa. She likes to play cards. Her favorite color is red.
Rick Hall (Anansi and Turtles Gift) started acting in Chicago where he did commercials and worked with Second City. During his Second City tenure he toured and then co-wrote and performed two shows on the main stage, John, Paul, Sartre, and Ringo and Catch 27. In LA he has guest starred in such shows as Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 3rd Rock From The Sun, Jag, Without a Trace, 24, and ER. Ricks film appearances include My Fellow Americans, Three Fugitives, and the Hallmark film Audreys Rain. Rick also performs frequently at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and his one-man show PIGBOY has toured the country.
Ruthie Hall (titles) has two dogs, one frog and one sister. Her mom helped on the music for this cd. Ruthie is seven years old. She likes to read chapter books. She likes to train her nutty dogs. She is in 1st grade.
Jack McGee (Two Frogs from Japan) is a veteran of hundreds of films and TV appearances, most recently Rescue Me and Crash.
William Thomas, Jr. (Rabbit on the Moon) has starred both on and off Broadway in the original companies of Godspell, Does Anybody Here Do The Peabody? Swing, Your Arms Too Short To Box With God, and La Cage Aux Folles. He has been a regular on tv in The Cosby Show, Studio 5B, Cop Rock and Franks Place, for which he earned an NAACP Image Award Nomination, and he has guest starred on countless other television shows and films including Gilmore Girls and the feature film Bruce Almighty. He is currently finishing his second year of seminary.
Lauren Tom (The Selkie Bride) is an Obie Award-winning actress who has starred in the films, The Joy Luck Club, Bad Santa, In Good Company, When A Man Loves a Woman, Mr. Jones, Cadillac Man, Catfish in Black Bean Sauce, and Manhood. Lauren played Rosss girlfriend, Julie, on Friends, and she was a series regular in NBCs DAG and ABCs Grace Under Fire. On Broadway Lauren has appeared in A Chorus Line, Hurlyburly and Doonesbury, and she has worked at the Goodman and Guthrie Theaters, the La Jolla Playhouse and the Kennedy Center. Her voice work can be heard in the animated series, Mulan II, King of the Hill, Futurama, American Dragon, Codename: Kids Next Door, Teen Titans, Batman, Superman,W.I.T.C.H, and the upcoming The Replacements and Where My Dogs At? Kathleen Wilhoite (The Boatmans Howling Daughter) has appeared in such television shows and films as Cop/Rock, Everybody Wins, Lorenzos Oil, Drowning Mona, Murphys Law, ER, and Gilmore Girls, among many others. Kathleen enjoys voice-over work and has played the title cartoon characters Pepper Ann and Cathy in their TV series. Charlayne Woodard (The Clever Girl) has written and performed three acclaimed solo plays, Pretty Fire, Neat and In Real Life. Her multi-character play, Flight, premiered at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles, and her notable performances, on and off Broadway, include the original company of Aint Misbehavin, for which she was nominated for Tony and Drama Desk Awards and the world premiere of In the Blood, for which she received an Obie Award. Film credits include Sunshine State, Unbreakable, The Crucible and Eye for an Eye.
