Description
The debut album from Los Angeles based artist Sareet brings you guitar driven tracks with a sultry voice and captivating lyrics. The stories in her songs come to life for her as she delivers the message behind each one. The album captures a raw sound with beautiful textures and dark melodies. A hard edge in your face emotion filters through on "No Suprise", "The Radio Line" and "Do You Wanna". Her emotional rendition of Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" spins a new vision on an already classic song. You will love her hauntingly beautiful vocals on "The Way To Spokane" and one of her heavier tracks "Sacred Lover". Sareet has the need for experiment and shows you her diverse influences in songs like "I'm Not You" , "Spotlight" and "Alive in Tokyo".
Growing up in Los Angeles had distinct advantages for Sareet. She began singing in clubs right out of high school for some of the highest grossing bar bands in town. While on stage she caught the attention of many of the towns biggest celebrities and was joined on stage by some of the greatest. Sareet held her own in a blues jam with Rick James, belted out "Mony Mony" with Billy Idol and had the great good fortune of an impromptu jam session with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. After a jam one night, Ricky Lee Jones pulled her aside to tell her, "You are an amazing singer". Sareet did not take the compliments lightly and has determined to come into her own in the world of music.
