Description
27INCH PIPE combines top notch musicianship with huge hooks to forge an aggressive but accessible sound. The band deftly fuses swaggering guitar riffs, driving bass and pounding drums to craft their own unique brand of rock and roll. Fans of the band have described their style as in league with the Foo Fighters, 3 Doors Down and Audioslave.
Formed by Justin Roberts (vocals, guitar) and Paul Maldonado (bass) in 2000, 27INCH PIPE immediately began playing every stage in Sacramento that would have them as they fine-tuned their stage attack. With the addition of Steve Rodgers (lead guitar) in 2001, a harder, more visceral 27INCH PIPE was born. With appearances on local television and radio airwaves and countless live performances, the PIPE continues to bring it.
In the spring of 2006 the group convened at Pus Cavern Recording to lay down tracks for their second full length CD Take It All. Containing 10 tracks ranging from radio anthems and old-school metal blowouts to acoustic tunes, the result is a perfect representation of the bands musical dexterity and Take It All attitude.
The bands first full length CD ...This Is Gonna Hurt A Little was recorded at Pus Cavern in the summer of 2004. Two tracks from the recording are featured on the DVD release of Spring Shakers & Heart Breakers - South Padre as well as the accompanying CD soundtrack.
