Description
Alien Music Club's first serious jazz album is a joy from start to finish! There's a definite flow to it with each track leading to the next. Mostly instrumental, but with a few, well-placed vocal tracks, it showcases multi-instrumentalist composer Jonathan Pearlman (JP) with guest artists including flutist Joel Spencer and percussionists Jaron Pearlman and Robin Tolleson. Fresh & original, the music has echoes of John Scofield, Joe Pass, Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Donald Fagan and Jeff Beck, among others.
