In the wake of their Billboard / national top ten dance single, Take Me Up, BARTON is back with their third release, entitled To Call My Own.
BARTON present in their work an alternative to the discouraging trend of disposable popular music. BARTON's work addresses this trend by offering skillfully produced songs with carefully crafted, meaningful, and provocative lyrics combined with moving melodies that are designed to stand the test of timeall within the dance genre.
To Call My Own explores questions of what it means to find a balance between the pervasive desires that accompany human existence and a healthy sense of self-reliance. More than any other song in their release history, To Call My Own reveals the pop underpinnings of BARTONs work.
To Call My Own delivers a broad set of mixes, from commercial to underground, which are sure to please the most discriminating ears. In a move that will undoubtedly bring BARTONs work to a broader pop audience, this release also features several radio mixes that directly straddle the dance and pop music genres.
In keeping with their previous releases, To Call My Own will be released across two catalog numbers: NET006 (Left Shift) and NET007 (Right Shift). Joining BARTON on the NET006 release is a wide range of additional talent, including producer Josh Harris and Twisted Records newest berfind, DJ Alex Santer, making this their largest and most ambitious production project to date. Additional mixes by Alan X (London) and Manny Ward are slated for release on catalog NET007.
