Description
Benj and Bill have been in friendly competition with each other since they were cellists in grade school orchestra class, challenging each other for first chair. A mutual love of rock and roll, enhanced by proper classical training, inform their creative dynamic in the studio. Both are extremely melodic and extremely obsessive. Traits that might hinder one socially are advantageous in these surroundings!
The two have greatly enjoyed turning these familiar children's classics into massive works of layered fascination. The playful, animated performances will charm any child; and the outrageous arrangements, musical dynamics and subtleties are bound to fascinate the serious adult listener.
"I'm A Little Teapot" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider" both feature a lively and engaging lead vocal from legendary blues/rock singer and drummer Bam Powell; and the gorgeous "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is carried by Audrey Ana Gardner's ethereal, hypnotic vocal performance.
With creative input and $upport from executive producer Gina Blatt of GBee Productions, these privately-owned sound recordings are being made available to the public for the first time. Stay tuned for another installment of "the unfinished children's song project" before too long!
