CATCHY NEW SINGLE FROM TOP 10 ARTIST BERNARD BINNS - OUT 24 JULY 2006.
Cut to the bone is the incredible new single from Wiltshire based solo artist Bernard Binns. Bernard, who has 5 top 10 hits under his belt, recorded this catchy, melodic, Brit pop-esq. track at Riverside studios in Bath. This extremely infectious song is up to date and retro at the same time. Think Graham Coxon and Tears for Fears on holiday with The Kinks. This is witty, sensitive and memorable modern pop at its best.
Born in Weston-Super-Mare, England, Bernard was brought up in South Africa where he became involved in music from an early age. Starting out as a drummer, he moved to guitar and songwriting where he discovered he had a knack for writing original, catchy pop songs. The result of this creativity was the formation of the famous South African pop band
The Helicopters who had major chart success with top 10 hits such as Mysteries & Jealousy, Only For You, I Wanna Live in Hollywood and Whisper Your Secret. Mysteries & Jealousy even topped the Namibian charts for some three months.
Bernards debut solo album Physiognomy of the Soul was well received in South Africa and achieved significant airtime in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Germany. Cut to the bone is taken off his forthcoming solo album of the same name due for release later in 2006. The single also features a 101 dance remix by Bath programmer Tom Dalgety. Bernard lives in a village in an area he calls Druidland nestled between the ancient stone formations of Stonehenge and Avebury in Wiltshire, England.
