CAN'T HANG has "It"-the indescribable quality that seems to draw people in. Is it the tight rhythm section, the booming bass, the unique punky-dub guitars? Is it the reggae-infused songs, with their smooth, soulful vocals and catchy melodies? Most likely it is the attitude of the band members themselves-five young men melding reggae-rock-ska-punk, all with a laid-back attitude that wins over listeners of any demographic.
CAN'T HANG has played up and down the East Coast for the past four years. Their performances include sold-out nights at The Recher Theater in Towson, MD and at Mellow Beach in Ocean City, MD. They have supported such nationally-recognized acts as Busta Rhymes, Toots and the Maytals, Inner Circle, Yellowman, 2 Skinnee J's, The Toasters, and The Slackers. One of those nights at Mellow Beach, a Hurley INTL representative saw the boys play. Now Hurley is sponsoring CAN'T HANG.
The band's first release, Coast to Coast, which was welcomed by local fans, contributed largely to their loyal fan base. Their second release, Sound in Time, with its more focused and refined effects, opened the door to larger venues and regional and national exposure. CAN'T HANG is dedicated to touring, recording, and sharing their music throughout the known universe.
