This quote taken from The Nashville Scene best describes the philosophy behind this album. After playing around as a sideman/composer for several Nashville based acts (The Guy Smiley Blues Exchange, Mile 8, The Dynamites), performing/touring with several national acts such as Brenda Lee and Deana Carter, and having the honor to perform with several jazz legends such as Lonnie Smith, Randy Brecker, Rufus Reed, Benny Golson, John Medeski, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Eddie Daniels, etc., Chris has decided to put out an album showcasing his versatile musicianship; playing all saxes, flutes, bass clarinet, organ/keys; as well as his unique compositional style with imaginative combination of voices, lush harmonies, catchy melodies, all wrapped up in a unique style combining jazz, funk, world, rock, and hip-hop music.
Jazzmanic was recorded in Nashville, TN and features several of Nashvilles top musicians including Jeff Coffin (Bela Fleck), Derico Watson (Victor Wooten), Alana Rocklin (Sub-ID), and Crisis
