Description
The Cow Trippers founding members, Drew Norman, Billy McPhee, and Will Youngman have been performing together in various original acts like Porcelain God and Chum since about 1993. Performing with so many different groups and experimenting in various genres, they decided in 1997 to use the theatrical stage abilities of vocalist Billy McPhee, as a focus for their 'old school' conceptual writing. The band was solidified in 1998 with the addition of drummer Tony Esperanza, and quickly became a regional favorite.
The Cow Trippers first two releases 'Professor Gall' in '98 and 'Homoginized' in 2000, were well received by critics and fans alike, garnering modest radio airplay and serving as musical palates for various outdoor extremist and theatrical vidoes/movies. The band is curently working on their third release, 'Damn Glad To Meat 'Cha, and with the addition of saxophonist Benny Morrison, continue to experiment and expunge the musical boundries that is The Cow Trippers.
