Description
I grew up in rural Alabama where I got my first real guitar at the age of 11 years old. With the help of my family I was playing three cord gospel songs in no time. By the time I was 15 I was playing along with the songs on the local radio station. I soon found myself performing with local country bands and playing on a local television show highlighting country music. Influenced by the great singers and writers of country and pop music in the 60's and 70's I begin to write songs. I never won first place in a contest, however, I did win a recording session in Nashville, which resulted in my songs being pitched around the Nashville hopefuls at the time. Marriage, children, and responsibilities came along and music took a back seat. "Looking for a new love" is my come back CD featuring 13 original songs. Naming the style of music was the hard part in releasing this work. Country or Pop was the question. After much debate among family and friends It was determined my country roots were just to strong. Country with a pop attitude I was told therefore, the Country Pop style was selected. I hope you enjoy "Looking for a new love".
