Description
Keith and Renee are the real deal. Together since 1998, (the first year as a 4-piece band called Easily Amused), K&R decided to keep pursuing their musical dream as a duo under the same name Easily Amused after the band folded. Since then, K&R have been touring ferociously across North America performing about 200 shows a year. K&R have 2 albums out: Novice (2001) and Simple Stuff (2004) (produced by the acclaimed Creighton Doane) and are currently recording their 3rd album, which is set to drop early 2007.
Recently, K&R (EA) were invited to sing on Song For Africa; a Canadian project featuring some of Canadas hottest artists, to help raise awareness of the Aids Pandemic happening in Africa and around the world. The video made for the song was featured at this years Aids Conference in Toronto alongside Bill and Melinda Gates, Richard Gere and Alicia Keys. All monies raised from the project went towards building a clinic in Africa. For more info, www.songforafrica.com
K&R have appeared on Canadian talk shows including; Vicky Gabereau, Open Mike with Mike Bullard and Canada AM. They have shared stages with Tegan and Sara, David Mead, Cary Pierce of Jackopierce, Kyle Riabko, Shaye, Ennis Sisters, Sass Jordan and 54/40. They were awarded Best Campus Duo 2003 in The United States and also were named theBest Indie Online Group 2003 by Warner Music Canada. Aside from this, EA was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award in 2004 for Best Pop Recording along side Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan and Jann Arden. Their music has been played on several television shows including; Radio Free Roscoe and The Real World. This past June 2006, Keith of EA made it to top 14 on Canadian Idol!!
