Description
GAYLORD IS:
Core Atoms-->Guitars, Vocals, keyboards
Jeff "Lewis" Steverson-->Bass, Vocals, Keyboards
Andrew Verstraete-->Drums, Percussion, Vocals
"Where the non conformity of jazz meets the righteous rebellion of punk and surf/rock/metal slams into soul shaking funk, you'll find the band called GAYLORD."
...in the begining...
GAYLORD was created by childhood friends Jeff Steverson and Core Atoms in the basement of a house on Williamsburg Road, Bologna Town, USA.
In an effort to create music they longed to hear and answer the question, why doesnt anyone play all types of music at once? Jeff and Core sold their Garbage Pail Kid collections, bought instruments and began writing what would turn out to be some of the most original, interesting and challenging music since Beethoven said...Eh??
...and then there was light...
The Band was born when Core Atoms and Jeff Steverson teamed up with drummer Brann Dailor (now of MASTODON fame), to record Sparkling Cool and unleash their, genre-less music to the starving ears of Rochesters growing underground music scene.
...Revelations...
On New Years Eve 2000 (with Brann having relocated to Atlanta), the God of Rhythm and Percussion bestowed upon them the brilliance and mastery of drummer Andrew Verstraete (Big Hair, Mungbean Demon, Low Ton), to complete the Gaylord sound.
ENJOY!
