Description
"the future of New York music is how influential angular-rocker Tom Verlaine of the band Television described the sound of GOODFINGER on seeing them live
and having crafted their Sonics playing along side NY favs Morningwood, The 22s and Lenny Kaye of the Patti Smith group, GOODFINGER step-up with a strong sterling sound that takes you on a journey to your new favorite placethat youve never actually been (yet?)
This second 5 track EP finds GOODFINGER working with noted producer Andy Chase (Ivy, Brookville and Tahiti 80). Andy gravitated to the present and soulful vocal delivery of Miss Scrappy Calloway nurturing some well-rounded tunes into some distinct recordings, creating rich, lush textures that cut like a knife, yet retain integrity and accessibility. The solid rhythmic backbone of Frank Caira on Bass and Mike Williams on Drums, providing an audial foundation for the flamboyant escapades of Johnny B on guitar and the deep-blue vocals of Miss Calloway.
With songs placed subliminally on VH1, A&E and the Discovery Channel, and Ball & Chain as a featured track in the adult orientated movie Chemistry Vo.1 (Vivid), you feel like you almost know GOODFINGER ...Maybe the future of New York music has already arrived?
