Description
The Go-Sheilas sound like a collision of The Go-Go's and Green
Day, with fun, energetic, upbeat hooks and harmonies.
They are from the O.C. and are comprised of members Sheila Go Sheila (vocals) and Go Andy (guitar). Sheila's voice is a solid mix of Blondie, Belinda Carlisle, and her own; Go Andy has been involved in the So. Cal. Punk Scene for a long time as a radio DJ, singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer.
"The EP" is The Go-Sheilas' first release. Musicians featured include Dave (Suicidal Tendencies, Weirdos, and The Drips) and Vince (The Drips) Hidalgo (sons of David Hidalgo of Los Lobos), and John Dumont. The EP was produced by Andrew Fisher and mixed by Karl Derfler, who has worked on numerous No Doubt albums and includes a high energy cover of Nena's 1980s classic 99 Red Balloons.
