REVIEW 1: This CD is AWESOME!!!, March 29, 2005
Reviewer: Nathan Everett "tikibar guitar" (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This cd is an amazing find. The guitar work is just awesome. I had Greg as a guitar teacher for about 3 years, and he is just an amazing guitarist and a really cool guy. I got to hear a lot of these songs when he was still putting them together, and it's really cool to see how well they turned out. I would highly recommend this cd to anyone who is seriously into playing guitar.
REVIEW 2: Greg did concerts, as a teenager, out behind the Ft. Lewis Army chapel that my husband and I attended back in the 70's. Then Colonel Schwartzkoff (sp?) also attended there with his family. I still have my vinyl "He's the One" album. I am sorry for the trials alluded to, but so often they make us the people we are. There is still a rich, lyrical, thoughtful, soulfulness as well as the skillfull, if not intuitive musicianship in Greg's music. I wish him the best while I again enjoy more of his music further down the "bumpy road."
REVIEW 3: An all around great CD that just adds more to the great sound of "Bumpy Road", February 19, 2006
Reviewer: Richard D. Snyder Jr. "Rick Snyder" (Puyallup, WA) - See all my reviews
As a carefully crafted and enjoyable listening experience, "Is This The Way?" by Greg Shelley delivers musical quality and inspiring lyrics that are hard to find in today's music industry. Greg's sound in this album is similar to that of "Bumpy Road," and is easy to listen to but yet technical enough to keep even the most skeptical music critic entertained. Greg's classic fingerpicking guitar style and his vocals on this album truly bring out the message in the lyrics of each and every song.
