Description
In early fall, Jennie Arnau will be releasing her new CD, Mt.Pleasant - Hooray!!! The CD was produced and mixed by Grammy-Winner Trina Shoemaker (Sheryl Crow, Queens of the Stone Age, Emmylou Harris) with 2 songs mixed and produced by Steve-O- Stephen George (Ric Ocasek, Mary J Blige). Karyn Kuhl and Jennie wrote two tracks together which are also on the CD.
And thanks also to Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound for the mastering and
Perry Serpa at Good Cop PR for all their help.
Thank you to Spectra Recoreds for recently welcoming Jennie to their family!!!
I will always melt for a vocalist who can do both gutsy and fragile. So many singers lack versatility that I know Ive found a gem when I find one who sounds different on each track. Jennie Arnau is one of those vocalists. What a wonderful, passionate voice this woman has. And to top it off, shes a strong songwriter with boot heels planted firmly in the country dust and a twangy charm that could knock the socks off any music fan.

This local thrushs imminent Superman Wont Take the Call proves both her and her band capable of a husky uplift and rhythmic wallop rarely heard in the female-folkie field. Nashville belters like Joe Dee Messina or Martina McBride would be proud to tear into small-town geo-sociological explorations as earthily popwise as Tallulah Falls or The River or the Carolina twister romance chronicle One More Day. And Jennies fine with blues riffs and Nirvana basslines, too.
