Soldier Boy, Soldier Girl, When Are You Coming Home? is a tribute to our troops, their families, friends, all veterans, and to a world of witnesses.
Although some would argue differently, it seems clear there is no winning with war, only loss, pain, death, sadness and suffering. Even for those who return from battle, there is great damage.
The troops are clearly much younger now, soldier boys and soldier girls. It's tragic to watch them spend their young lives this way, but they truly believe it to be a worthy exchange for the cause of life and liberty.
Despite the anguish we feel, the world seems helpless to do anything collectively significant to assist.
This song, "Soldier Boy, Soldier Girl, When Are You Coming Home?" is intended to let the troops know that they are loved and not forgotten. It is a love song written from my heart to the hearts of all the soldier boys and soldier girls.
