Description
Lexington and Whatevski are an unlikely pair teamed up in an unlikely city to produce an album unlike anything you have ever heard. The album that these former Jonny Sootentai members created is called OverIt; an album that will indefinitely expand the cult following that the Sootentai name holds. When listening to the tracks on OverIt, it is obvious that the name speaks for itself. The pair discuss many unconventional topics with an edge unheard of in Canadas hip-hop scene.
The content ranges from the scene itself, to political issues to the twisted reality of love/lust bringing a tongue-in-cheek vibe that suits the atmosphere of the album.

Most of the production (including mixing and mastering) is handled by Whatevski with Lexington in the back seat yapping in his ear. The album also includes two Lexington beats, one by Olive Hours Decline and another by Vancouvers Guha. Whatevski brings the grit hes known for from previous releases such as Planits, Onword and Jonny Sootentais From Classrooms to Cubicles. The duo combines new school lyricism with production that takes it back to the essence of hip hop, relying on that warm sound of sampled vinyl loops. The aggressive delivery of these rappers works extraordinarily well with the hard hitting beats, the messages are clear and precise, punch lines cut, chorus swing and the commentaries are executed with on-point delivery.

OverIt is a release that will hold weight; these guys have been doing live performances for the better part of a decade as well as unofficially releasing three full length Jonny Sootentai albums (the latest of the Jonny albums, From Classrooms to Cubicles made waves through Alberta and the prairie provinces).
