Description
Linda Fosters debut CD Roads Traveled is the culmination of many years of varied experience in vocal music ranging from opera and classical song to music theatre, cabaret and folk. Linda and her music director, Don Kot, collaborate with some of Rochester, NYs finest musicians to create a CD of heart-felt songs reflecting the wide range of emotions associated with love, including humor, shy anticipation, melancholy and pure joy. A versatile singer, Linda displays a beautiful lyric style and is at home in the varied genres she presents on this CD. You do not want to miss this beautifully produced CD highlighting one of the most versatile and talented singers of American song today!
Lindas credits include performances and roles with San Francisco Opera, Geva Theatre, Opera Rochester, Rochester Childrens Theatre and Downstairs Cabaret. Recital venues include LIVE at Hochstein, Hochstein Spotlight on Faculty, Strong Museums Making American Music series and Nazareth College. She is a proud member of Actors Equity. She tours throughout the Northeast in performances of classic American songs and cabaret. She has produced and directed cabaret type performances highlighting the lives of American composers including George Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern and Leonard Bernstein . She is former voice faculty, Hochstein School of Music and maintains a large private studio. Voice performance major at UCLA/SFSU; further studies with San Francisco Opera, Ruth Falcon in NYC, and Dale Moore of the Eastman School of Music.
